DFW & Houston Deep Freeze
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, been a “little” cold, and we have been a “little” busy. Over 100 losses since last Tuesday, all of which have been inspected or appointments scheduled at the convenience of the policyholder, and to over half of which we provided emergency services to through our top notch team of Claim Concierges and Project Managers and our extended network of what we firmly believe are the best service providers in the entire state of Texas.
It’s hard to imagine that something as innocuous as a frozen pipe or sprinkler head can cause this type of havoc.
Frozen Pipe
I’m proud to say that we were able to respond within 15 minutes to each loss and have our professionals on-site within hours in all but a small number of cases. Even then, we were in almost constant contact with policyholders providing them with updates and assurance that we would be able to help them get their property and their lives back to some semblance of normal in just a few days.
Frozen Sprinkler
The worst damage occurs overnight or when no one is home. Waking up or returning to a freeze flood is overwhelming. Water dripping everywhere, ceilings collapsing, furniture, clothes ruined, pictures, electronics, etc.
Some homes and all commercial properties have sprinkler systems. These too are subject to freeze.
Both pipes and sprinklers are equal opportunity offenders! Imagine coming into work to find your work area under water.

Or having an early morning meeting and coming in only to find your conference room, well – let’s just say “snorkels optional”.
